In the Dharma way, lotus is a symbol of purity and goodness in Buddhism. The Lord Buddha has compared the maturity level of human intelligence with the growth of the lotus as four types of lotus. Therefore, lotus is considered to be the flowers of the noble people. Even lotus born from the mud but, when it is growing and blooming beyond the water surface, it brings forth beauty, brightness and radiance.

In addition, the lotus is a symbol of the creation of the divine supernatural like as when the Lord Buddha was born, he walked with his feet 7 steps. Then a miracle happened, there were lotus flowers sprang up to support his feet every step. Moreover, even the holy statues of many sects, they all made statues on lotus flower because the high holy thing must have lofty base to support always.
