หลวงพ่อนพวรรณเมตตาเล่าให้ฟังว่า "นกถึดทือนี่เป็นสัตว์หากินเก่ง แม้ปูที่อยู่ในรู ที่สัตว์อื่นไม่รู้ว่าจะล่ายังไง นกถึดทือก็ยังเรียกปูออกมากินได้ แค่เอาปากเคาะๆรอบรูปู ปูยังต้องไต่ขึ้นมาจากรูให้นกถึดทือกินเลย"
โบราณจารย์จึงถือคตินี้นำมาสร้างเป็นเครื่องราง เพื่อช่วยหนุนนำให้ผู้บูชาทำมาหากินคล่องตัว สำหรับคนที่ค้าขายไม่ค่อยดี ไม่มีโชคลาภ ก็ให้เอาพญานกถึดทือนี้ติดตัว ติดกระเป๋าไว้ จะได้ไม่รู้จักอดไม่รู้จักอยาก
หลวงพ่อนพวรรณได้นำ "ไม้มะยมตายพราย" มาแกะเป็นพญานกถึดทือ ซึ่งไม้มะยมตายพรายเป็นของอาถรรพ์มีดีในตัว ธรรมชาติสร้างมาให้ขลัง ถือเป็นมวลสารชั้นเลิศ เชื่อถือกันมาแต่โบราณ ว่าสามารถสะกดให้ผู้คนนิยม ชมชอบ ชื่นชม ขนาดกิ่งมะยมตายพรายที่ถูกนำมาแกะเป็นนางพราย,รักยม หรือเครื่องรางต่างๆก็ยังเข้มขลังมีฤทธิ์ในตัว แต่ไม้มะยมตายพรายนี้ยิ่งเหนือชั้นกว่าเป็นเท่าทวีคูณ
ตาฝังพลอยแดงเหมือนเป็นการเบิกเนตรให้พญานกถึดทือ ให้มีสายตาที่เฉียบคม คอยจ้องมองหาโชคลาภและโอกาสที่คนอื่นมองไม่เห็น เพื่อบินไปตะครุบมาให้เจ้าของโดยพลัน ส่วนอักขระที่ปรากฏอยู่บนตัวพญานกถึดทือนี้ หลวงพ่อนพวรรณท่านได้จารด้วย หัวใจพญานกถึดทือ "อุชูจะสุหุชู" เพื่อให้พญานกถึดทือบังเกิดมีตัวมีตน ครบอาการ 32 หาเงินหาทองเก่ง ตามตำราที่ท่านร่ำเรียนมา

Luang Por Noppawan kindly shared this story: "The night owl is an exceptionally resourceful creature when it comes to finding food. Even crabs that hide deep in their burrows, animals that most predators don’t know how to catch, this bird can still lure them out to eat. All it does is gently tap its beak around the crab’s hole, and the crab will climb out of its burrow to be eaten".
Because of this, the wise elders of old adopted this idea as the basis for creating a night owl amulet. It is believed to support and promote prosperity and smooth livelihood. For those who struggle in business or lack good fortune, carrying this "Windfall Hunter Night Owl" with them, in their pocket or bag, will help ensure they never go hungry and never lack for anything.”
Luang Por Noppawan carved the Windfall Hunter Night Owl from "Dead-standing Gooseberry Wood", which died of natural causes (old age). This type of wood is believed to possess natural mystical power, it is inherently sacred, as if nature itself instilled it with spiritual force. It is considered one of the finest and most potent materials for crafting sacred objects. According to ancient belief, Dead-standing Gooseberry Wood can enchant people, making them admire, like, and be drawn to the one who possesses it. Even ordinary pieces of this wood, when carved into protective spirits like Nang Phrai, Rak Yom, or other amulets, are believed to be powerful and full of supernatural influence. However, this particular Dead-standing Gooseberry Wood is said to be on an even higher level, its potency is believed to be many times greater.
The eyes are inlaid with red crystals, symbolizing the opening of the “Inner vision” of the Windfall Hunter Night Owl. This sharp vision allows the bird to constantly seek out fortune and opportunities that others might overlook, ready to swoop in and seize them instantly for its owner. As for the sacred script inscribed on the body of the Windfall Hunter Night Owl, Luang Por Noppawan inscribed it using the heart mantra of the night owl, "U Chu Ja Su Hu Chu". This sacred incantation is believed to give the bird a complete spiritual form, endowed with all 32 physical attributes, and empower it with the ability to skillfully attract wealth and treasure, according to the traditional teachings passed down to him.
