The legend of creating sacred amulets of "Phra Lak Na Thong" is that Nang Samnakkha, the green female giant who is Ravana's youngest half-sister. Her husband's name is Chewha. Later, Chewha was killed by Ravana, so Nang Samnakkha was widowed. She felt lonely and traveled around until she met Rama then she fell in love. Therefore, she offered herself to Rama but, Rama refused because Raman already had Sita as his wife.
 

When Nang Samnakkha saw Sita who was prettier than herself, she got angry and attacked Sita. But, Rama blocked Nang Samnakkha's attack. When Phra Lak heard the fighting sound and came out of the ashram, Nang Samnakkha saw the golden appearance of Phra Lak. She was stunned and forgot Rama suddenly. When Nang Samnakkha came to consciousness again, Nang Samnakkha started to chase and pinch Sita again. Phra Lak saw that, so he stepped on Nang Samnakkha's back and cut off her hands, her feet, her ears, her nose, and released her instead of killing.
 

Therefore, many masters, many teachers took the above legend of Phra Lak's charming appearance to write into magic Yantra named "Phra Lak Na Thong (Golden-Faced Phra Lak)" and also created various magic spells about Phra Lak until it became amulets until nowadays.
