ประวัติหลวงพ่อทอง สุทธสีโล ท่านเข้าพิธีอุปสมบทที่วัดสระแก้ว อ.เมือง จ.นครราชสีมา เมื่ออายุครบ ๒๒ ปี พ.ศ.๒๕๑๔ หลวงพ่อทอง สุทธสีโล ก็ได้มาจำพรรษาอยู่วัดศรีแก้ว อ.เมือง จ.นครราชสีมา พ.ศ.๒๕๑๔ ขณะนั้นมี หลวงพ่อแถว เป็นเจ้าอาวาสวัด ส่วนหลวงพ่อคูณ เป็นพระลูกวัด หลวงพ่อคูณได้เห็นหลวงพ่อทอง เป็นพระที่มีอัธยาศัยดี เงียบขรึม ไม่ค่อยพูด ไม่ค่อยค่อยจา มีความนอบน้อมอ่อนโยน เป็นพระที่เรียบร้อย และมีความตั้งใจในการทํากิจเป็นอย่างมาก หลวงพ่อคูณจึงได้ถ่ายทอดวิชาและพระคาถารวมไปถึงการจารอักขระต่างๆ ในตะกรุด และยันต์ ก็เลยนับกันเป็นศิษย์ตั้งแต่บัดนั้นเป็นต้นมา

หลวงพ่อคูณไปไหนก็จะนำพาหลวงพ่อทองไปด้วย ศิษย์ของหลวงพ่อคูณมีอยู่ทั่วประเทศ แต่ที่ถ่ายทอดวิชาให้และรับเป็นศิษย์เอกก็คือ “หลวงพ่อทอง สุทธสีโล” ท่านเป็นพระที่หลวงพ่อคูณไว้วางใจมากที่สุด และในปัจจุบันนี้ หลวงพ่อทอง สุทธสีโล ได้กลับมาปฏิบัติธรรม ณ วัดบ้านไร่ ตามรอยอาจารย์ของท่าน ซึ่งก็คือ หลวงพ่อคูณ ปริสุทโธ ท่านมีอายุ ๗๑ ปี พรรษา ๔๙ (พ.ศ.๒๕๖๓)

The Biography of Luang Por Thong Suttasilo, he was ordained at Wat Sa Kaeo, Mueang District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province, at the age of 22 in 1971 (B.E. 2514). After ordination, he resided at Wat Si Kaeo in the same district and province. He became the monk that Luang Por Koon trusted the most. At present, Luang Por Thong Suttasilo has returned to Wat Ban Rai to practice the Dhamma, following in the footsteps of his mentor, Luang Por Koon Parisuttho. As of 2020 (B.E. 2563), Luang Por Thong is 71 years old and has been ordained for 49 years.
