Description:
Crescent Moon Emperor Ngang by Arjarn Jiam, Mon Raman Charming Mantra.
Twisted and quirky, yet irresistibly cool, Arjarn Jiam crafted this legendary-style Ngang to carry on the tradition, long desired and admired by Ngang lovers everywhere.

Arjarn Jiam, Mon Raman Charming Mantra, known for his powerful Mon Raman lineage magic, presents the Phaya Ngang Chakrapat Chan Siew (Crescent Moon Emperor Ngang). This sacred amulet is infused with secret mystical powers, especially in the realms of great charm, loving-kindness, popularity, fortune, protection, and invincibility, all encapsulated in a single amulet.

Arjarn Jiam has poured over 20 years of knowledge and experience with the sacred Ngang into this special edition. This version has been crafted following the ancient belief surrounding traditional Ngang characteristics: “Twisted topknot, crooked mouth, red eyes, long face, drooping ears, and a fishbone-like base, all marks of an authentic old-style Ngang".The creation follows the traditional methods passed down through generations. A special limited batch was cast using the rare and intricate Thai clay mold casting technique, a process that is difficult and time-consuming, making it increasingly rare in the modern era.

Every detail was meticulously handled, from selecting sacred materials to the casting process itself. This includes melting down amulets and coins blessed by revered monks to produce the internal bell (known as “Kring”), and mixing tin, antimony, Jao Narm Ngen (the blue emperor), and silver to form the traditional bronze alloy with Thai clay, all according to ancient formulas to create the sacred Phra Ngang in its most authentic form.

Sacred Materials:
Ancient bronze / Bullet casings / 108 sacred coins from revered monks / Hand-inscribed yantra sheets
Antimony ore / Tin ore / Jao Narm Ngen (the blue emperor) / Silver / Metal remnants from various previous consecrated items by Arjarn Jiam.

Usage Technique:
Face outward when worn – attracts wealth and good fortune.
Face inward toward the body – enhances personal charm and attraction.

Katha For Worship:
"Ka Kha Ka Kha Ku Khang A Hang Swa Ha Na Ma Pha Tha" (Recite 9 times)

Offering Instructions:
Offer savory food, sweets, fruits, and drinks, anything you normally consume (as convenient).

You may also offer honey, flower garlands, and fresh flowers such as roses, jasmine, champaca, yellow champak, or ylang-ylang (as convenient).

On Saturday, May 10, 2025 (14th waxing moon of the 6th lunar month, Year of the Snake), Ararn Jiam performed a ritual to consecrate the sacred materials at his sanctuary in the morning, following the auspicious time that had been set. After that, he traveled to the foundry to conduct the casting ceremony.

Arjarn Jiam carefully prepared and cleaned the metals and sacred materials before melting them into the crucible.

On Sunday, May 25, 2025, Arjarn Jiam traveled to the foundry to cast the special edition of Crescent Moon Emperor Ngang, using the traditional Thai earthen mold casting method (The Din Thai method). The auspicious first pieces were cast in silver and bronze. The chief artisan of the foundry had prepared the kiln for preheating the molds since the morning. The kiln was constructed in the traditional way by stacking concrete bricks and firing with charcoal. This stage involves heating the molds to melt and expel the wax (known as “samrok thian” or wax burnout). The temperature, heat levels, and duration of the preheating process directly affect both the success of the casting and the color of the clay used in the molds.

The sacred materials used for the casting included:
- 100% pure silver.
- Ancient bronze.
- Hand-inscribed yantra sheets by Arjarn Jiam.
- Remnants of sacred materials from various previous batches of Arjarn Jiam's amulets.
- Melted medallions of revered monks. (from a previous batch of Phra Kring casting)
- Phra Kring casting remnants. (used in bronze casting)
- Antimony ore. (used in bronze casting)
- Jao Narm Ngen or the blue emperor ore. (used in bronze casting)

The casting process began with the silver. Pure silver pellets were melted together with hand-inscribed yantra sheets, ancient bronze, remnants of Arjarn Jiam's sacred objects, and previously melted monk medallions. Once the metals were fully fused, the molten mixture was poured into the molds. These molds were prepared using traditional methods, starting with a coating of cow dung mixed with fine clay. After that, layers of clay were applied to achieve the desired thickness. The molds were then left to dry under the sun. Each step in this traditional method requires time, care, and precision, especially the cow dung coating process, which must be applied layer by layer and allowed to dry completely between applications.

After the silver was poured into the mold, it was left to cool. Arjarn Jiam then proceeded with the bronze casting. The bronze alloy used in this process followed the foundry’s traditional formula. It included: Phra Kring remnants (copper mixed with tin) Antimony ore, Azurite ore, Ancient bronze, Sacred material remnants from Arjarn Jiam’s previous creations, Melted medallions of revered monks, Pure silver was also added to the mix. This was done to ensure the composition closely matched that of the original prototype Ngang, which, upon analysis, was found to contain silver as part of its alloy.

After the bronze was poured, the mold was left to cool gradually. This step differs significantly from modern casting methods such as vacuum casting or centrifugal casting. In modern techniques, once the molten metal is poured and the mold begins to cool, the mold can be submerged in water and cleaned almost immediately. However, in the traditional Thai "Din Thai" earthen mold casting method, the mold must be left to cool naturally. A fan may be used to help speed up the cooling process, but the mold cannot be submerged in water. Once the mold is sufficiently cooled, it is carefully broken open using a hammer to reveal the cast figure inside. Even after the figure is removed, it cannot be washed with water, because the coating of fine clay mixed with cow dung (which has now been burnt into a blackened layer) would immediately be washed off, erasing its unique texture and appearance. Therefore, once all the earthen mold material is removed, the next step is to carefully clean and refine the surface of the cast figure.

For the refinement of the cast figure, the chief artisan at the foundry first demonstrated how to properly clean and finish the surface. After observing, Arjarn Jiam personally tried his hand at refining the figure as well. Following the filing process to define the details, the next step involved machine grinding the base to ensure it was properly leveled. In this particular casting, Arjarn Jiam wished to preserve the traditional, ancient aesthetic, so the finishing was done only moderately, not polished to a completely smooth, modern finish. Areas where black Thai clay (Din Dam) remained on the surface were intentionally left untouched as much as possible, in order to retain the sacred and authentic character of traditional amulets. The final result came out just as intended, as seen in the accompanying photos.

This traditional Thai earthen mold casting was carried out with special intention and care by Arjarn Jiam, as the Phaya Ngang Chakrapat Jan Siao (Crescent Moon Emperor Ngang) is considered by him to be the ultimate form of Phra Ngang, according to ancient texts. As described in the old scriptures: “Twisted topknot, crooked mouth, red eyes, long face, drooping ears, and a fishbone-like base, all marks of an authentic old-style Ngang".

The Traditional Thai Earthen Mold Casting Process. (The Din Thai method)

Arjarn Jiam performed a ceremonial offering and homage to the lineage of master teachers and ancestors who had created sacred objects since ancient times, from the Ayutthaya period, through Thonburi, and into the Rattanakosin era, including his present-day teachers. The purpose of the ritual was to request permission to consecrate and repurpose broken fragments of Phra Chai amulets (Phra Ngang Ayutthaya), which were then ground into sacred powder and mixed with various mystical herbs. This sacred mixture would later be used to fill the base of the Phaya Ngang Chakrapat Jan Siao (Crescent Moon Emperor Ngang).

Palm-leaf manuscript ash mixed with various sacred materials, one of the key substances Arjarn Jiam used to fill the base of the Phaya Ngang Chakrapat Jan Siao (Crescent Moon Ngang Emperor).

The 6-inch worship statue was created by Ajarn Jiam as a commemorative piece for the sanctuary and is not available for sale.

Arjarn Jiam embedded a "Gold Takrud" beneath the base of the Phaya Ngang Chakrapat Jan Siao, Crescent Moon Emperor Ngang. (silver material).

On August 15, 2025, Arjarn Jiam performed the final consecration ceremony. Arjarn Tong, a disciple of Arjarn Jiam, also participated in the ritual, which took place on Saturday, August 9, 2025.

Powerful and sacred, protected by the spiritual authority of the master teacher.

A portion of the proceeds from the distribution of this sacred item will be donated to the Priest Hospital in Bangkok, supporting ill monks. It is believed that making merit by helping sick monks brings blessings of good health and protection from illness in return.
